The Weiss chocolate Factory was established in 1882 at Saint-Etienne, the land of chocolate. Eugène Weiss, founder, and pioneer discovered the art of pralines and blending from the bean to box and created Le Haut Chocolat®. Recognised as an Entreprise du Patrimoine Vivant, Maison Weiss is committed to using the finest raw materials to produce high quality chocolates and pralines for all gourmet consumers and culinary professionals worldwide. In October 2016, with the desire to share its exceptional traditional expertise, the chocolate Factory opened Les Ateliers Weiss, in Saint- Etienne, a lively and accessible place with entertainment, a shop and a restaurant.


Weiss values: respect, honesty, authenticity, benevolence, simplicity, and attentiveness. Wanting a true cocoa, produced in compliance with legal requirements, from local crops to be part of a dynamic of continuous improvement, by putting the stakeholders in the cocoa industry at the heart of this approach.

To create our astonishing and daring recipes, our master chocolatiers choose healthy ingredients and select the best raw materials, while taking care of people, their partners and nature.
